Registration

Organisations that carry out charitable fundraising in England, Wales or Northern Ireland can apply to register with the Fundraising Regulator.

Registering shows your commitment to fundraising in line with the Code of Fundraising Practice in a way that is legal, open, honest and respectful. You will be able to use the Fundraising Badge – the logo that says ‘registered with Fundraising Regulator’ – on your fundraising materials and be listed in our public directory to show you are signed up to fundraising best practice.

Charities pay registration fees scaled in line with what they spend on their fundraising activity each year and non charities that carry out charitable fundraising such as CICs and commercial businesses pay registration fees scaled in line with their fundraising turnover.

We take unauthorised use of the badge very seriously. If an organisation displays the badge but is not registered with us, we will seek its immediate removal. If organisations continue to refuse to comply, we will report them to other appropriate regulators and potentially take legal action.
