Survey on sharing information about fundraising complaints: prize draw terms and conditions

Promoter and terms

  1. The promoter of this prize draw is Fundraising Regulator, a company limited by guarantee (no. 10016446) in England and Wales. Our registered office address is Eagle House, 167 City Road, London, EC1V 1AW.
  2. In these terms and conditions, ‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’ means the Fundraising Regulator.
  3. By entering this prize draw you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
  4. You also confirm that you are eligible to enter and claim any prizes you may win.

Eligibility to enter

  1. This prize draw is free to enter. 
  2. Only one entry is allowed per person. 
  3. Entrants must be over 18 years of age and a UK resident.
  4. Employees, board and committee members of the Fundraising Regulator and their close relatives are not eligible to enter.

How to enter

  1. The prize draw will include those who have completed the ‘survey on sharing information about fundraising complaints’ by 11:59 pm on 18 August 2023.
  2.  Entries after this time and date will not be included. 
  3. To participate you will need to provide your first name (or given name), last name (or family name) and email address and select ‘I would like to be entered into the prize draw’ when completing the survey. 
  4. We will not accept responsibility if the details you provide are incomplete or inaccurate.

The prize

  1. The prize will be one of two Amazon (Amazon Europe Core SARL, Amazon EU SARL and/or their affiliates) gift cards to the value of £50 (GBP) issued to the winner by email.
  2. Once the voucher is transferred, the winner is responsible for making sure it is used before the expiry date specified by Amazon.
  3. Our use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of these brands.
  4. The winner will be drawn at random.
  5. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
  6. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
  7. Our decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner announcement and prize receipt

  1. Unless we state otherwise, the winner(s) will be drawn at random in the week following the closing date. We will notify the winner(s) as soon as we can after the draw has taken place, using the email address provided during the survey.
  2. We will attempt to contact the winners by email up to two times.
  3. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize.
  4. We reserve the right to choose and notify a new winner.
  5. Please allow up to 30 days after being notified for the Amazon voucher to be transferred.

Data protection and publicity

  1. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by us for the purposes of administering the draw, and for the purposes in our privacy notice.
  2. All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at admin@fundraisingregulator.org.uk
  3. The winner agrees to the release of their first name to any other prize draw participants if requested.

Limitation of liability

  1. We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize. 
  2. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability in respect of personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

General

  1. We reserve the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
  2. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
